About the Doctor

Dr. E. Briggs Allen, Jr. DC, CCSP

 Dr Briggs Allen has been serving the people of Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky and Western North Carolina since 1984. Dr Allen limits his practice to only bone, muscle and nerve problems that can be treated through proven scientific methods. Even though highly experienced, he maintains a vigorous annual continuing education schedule. Dr Allen also shares his knowledge with others. He has been the only chiropractic presenter at a large medical low back pain symposium and has lectured to physicians at hospital Grand Rounds. Dr. Allen states, "I believe that all healthcare professions, be it medicine, osteopathy, chiropractic or physical therapy, must work together for the benefit of our patients." And he does so without reservation.

Dr. Allen listens to you. He also explains your options and answers your questions. There is no substitue for good communications!  Additionally, he expects that both you and he to be equal partners in your healthcare. One alone often produces less than of satifactory results.

Dr. Allen has given back to his community by previously serving as an appointee on the Govenor's Emergency Medical Services Board as well as team physician for the University of Virginia - Wise. Presently, he serves as a volunteer emergency care instructor, ski instructor and 20+ year member of the National Ski Patrol as well as team chiropractor for King College.
